How the process works
At McMaster Gallery, we provide professional and experienced Fine Art Restoration services. Our Conservator, Guennadi Kalinine, applies his 40+ years of experience to breathe new life into your artwork. Restoration inquiries are respectfully left in our care for thorough examination for 3 to 4 days, we will then provide you with a no obligation report of our findings and recommendations. Our extensive restoration services include:
Precise retouching of damaged artwork (including rips, tears, paint loss, and scratches)
Cleaning of artworks, removal of contaminants (such as smoke, dust and sediments)
Replacement of stretcher bar including re-stretching of artwork
Repairing of frames, including refinishing, re gilding, rebuilding and structural reinforcement to ensure integrity and aesthetic.
Re-lining of artworks (adding canvas to artwork to increase stability)
